Holy fuck...

A nice break from the professional artists posting dubstep on Newgrounds to garner attention...of course this comes from someone who enjoys that kind of stuff. But this was a nice break, nonetheless. Very well done. I found myself dancing to the beat. Funky!

It's aptly named and beaufitully done...

This is a track ripe with feeling and emotion from beginning to end. All 16 minutes felt like a trip through a desolate city wrecked from war and poverty on the low than transcends to the top where the chaos and disease of below are nothing but an afterthought. I admit it was a bit out of place with the flow of the rest of the track, but even in times of depression, you tend to disguise yourself from others so no one ever assumes you have a problem and you can go on without their pity. Sort of how those that live at the top just push aside the thoughts of the lowly and broken down below so they can go on with their comfortable lives. But pretending it's not there doesn't mean it will go away. You build upon the ashes of once was and sooner or later, the gilded lie you've come to accept as reality will come crumbling down when the dead and decayed can no longer go on supporting the lavish. Eventually worlds collide, and the end result could be catastrophic or life-changing. But both are two sides to the same coin...

That was what it felt to me. Definitely fits with the depressed mood this track was based from and emanates. It's rare that you have an ambient track with a length of more than 6 minutes still have the listening value at the end as it did at the beginning, but you seem to have figured out the formula. This is beautiful work and I'm leaning towards supporting such a talented artist and buying a copy of your CD. Keep us informed of its release date and I'll be sure to try and send some dollars your way. Keep up the excellent work and thanks for sending me on quite the journey.

Comments like these really do touch my heart. I create this music to express myself. When others understand it, enjoy it, and can feel from it, I know that I have accomplished something. To be called "talented" is an extreme term that is truly cherished by those who have the honor of being called it. I will gladly send a physical edition of the album your way when the album is out. It would be a honor to have such a great appreciator of my music buy it. I can't wait to complete the album. Hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I did creating it.

The imagery that came to your mind is similar to the strange, almost unidentifiable thoughts that came to mind when creating it. I love to read the vivd imagery that others think of. It's all about perspective, and everyone has a different perspective on what this track means.

Thanks for listening.

Damn,,,damn damn DAMN!!!

That hit and that hit HARD! Love the games, and I love the music. Wonderful tribute here.

About the only good submission in the Top 5

And it's a very good one. I love the progressive melody in the beginning. It's just a calming wave that prepares for the storm that drops later. Very good stuff. I enjoyed it from beginning to end.

Damn...damn damn damn...

This is the drum and bass that I love. The sound of being out of this world while still being down to earth from the beautiful drum line and well-placed bass and synth. The pads were gorgeous. The VSTs were out of this damn world, man. Wonderfully done. Truly a work of art. You have a gift, and I hope you continue to share it with the world.

Thanks a lot Gundam. It really is a amazing song... I keep wondering how I even came up with it, but I guess that's how real inspiration works.

This is where it all comes to...

...and I am far from disappointed. I'm glad to not only see the two semifinalists I voted for reach the finals, but also to hear such a hands-down amazing battle between two MCs who obviously, beyond a shadow of a doubt, deserve to be here. Congratulations to both of you. If there could be two winners, you two would have earned it. But there can only be one at the top. So...here we go.

Currently on the second listen...

MadFLeX, amazing opening. You had great flow and hit a hard punch. Punch after punch after punch, in fact. It was amazing. Way to save your hardest verses for the final. It's like you knew you would make it here. Loved it.

Gasmasq, what can I say? You've hit harder in your battles than I think should be legally allowed. Just saying. It's like you were born to bash MCs and crash parties.

Third listen now...

Flow: MadFLeX
Technicality: Gasmasq
Clarity: MadFLeX
Hard Hits: Both

Final: I'm giving this to MadFLeX. You caught my attention from Battle 1, and I love love LOVE this battle. You've earned it. Both of you do, but MadFLeX gets my vote. Congrats!

Damn...better than the other battle...

I don't see how this is rated lower than the other battle of the semifinals. This battle was OFF THE CHAIN! Both delivered in the highest quality. You both should pat each other on the backs after spitting all those rhymes. But still, only one of you can make it to the finals.

Gasmasq, you hit hard and you hit HARD! Great comebacks and awesome scheme. You flowed like water. I loved it. Favorite was your "literally illiterate." Genius.

Self: The Bluest Eye, you did amazingly well for the one up first. That's a difficult position to be in, but you took it by the horns and slammed it down. You were spot on and loved your scope of vocabulary.

Damn, tough choice. Gave it my two listens and I still can't decide.

Third time, speakers blazing, and I now can decide. Loved both of you, and congratulations on making it this far, but my vote goes to Gasmasq. Good job man. Hope you make it to the finals.

Two masters at their greatest work...

But only one can make it to the finals. Both laid down hella awesome vocals. However, I feel Cynic went...away from his usual rhymes. You seemed too aggressive, and I think there was something wrong with your mic. I could be wrong.

MadFLeX was damn good. He seemed right on par and the rhythm was sick. I have to give this to MadFLeX. Good job to both of you. I loved this battle.

Hmm...enjoyed both sides...

But I give this to Cynic. Sorry HelsAlive. I love your style and rap, but there's a difference between cleverly confusing your competition with higher-level vocabulary and making yourself look like an idiot without rhythm. Your previous battle was amazing, but this was a miss for you. Good going Cynic. Smooth lyrics and quirky stabs. Good luck in round 3.

Nimbus

Both of you tore this up, it was amazing. Loved the lyrics on both sides. But Nimbus had much better delivery in this one. Followed a better flow.
